Launch a coin

Docs

wick.fun launches memecoins on HyperEVM that back themselves with a real perp position on Hyperliquid. Trading fees fund the position. When it wins, the profit buys the coin back and burns it.

Overview

Every coin on wick picks a market, a side and a leverage when it launches: BTC 5x long, NVDA 10x short, gold, oil, the S&P 500, any of 300+ Hyperliquid markets. From then on, half of every trading fee goes into that position.

When the position hits the coin's take-profit, it is closed, the profit comes back to HyperEVM, buys the coin on the open market, and everything bought is burned. The margin goes straight back into a new position. Supply only goes down.

Lifecycle of a coin

  1. 01
LaunchThe creator sets the name, ticker and logo, then the market, side, leverage and take-profit. The coin goes live on wick's bonding curve on HyperEVM, with the dev buy in the same transaction.
  2. 02
Trade on the curveEvery buy and sell pays a 1% fee in HYPE, split three ways on the spot.
  3. 03
Fund the positionOnce 0.5 HYPE of position share has built up, it moves to HyperCore (same chain, no bridge), is sold for USDC on Hyperliquid's spot book and sent to the coin's own Hyperliquid account, where it opens or tops up the position.
  4. 04
GraduateAt 60 HYPE raised the curve closes and, within a minute, the coin moves to a Project X pool (1% fee). 10% of the raise goes into the position.
  5. 05
Take profit, buy back, burnWhen the position's return reaches the take-profit, it is closed and the profit is swapped to HYPE on Hyperliquid, sent back to HyperEVM and into the buyback, which buys and burns the coin. The margin reopens.

Bonding curve and graduation

Coins launch on wick's own bonding curve contract on HyperEVM, priced in HYPE. The price only depends on how much has been bought, so everyone sees the same curve.

Starting market cap60 HYPE
Raise to graduate60 HYPE
Market cap at graduation≈ 148 HYPE
Sold on the curve≈ 636M
Pool opens with54 HYPE
Position boost6 HYPE

When 60 HYPE has been raised the curve closes and trading pauses for about a minute while wick's keeper graduates the coin: 10% of the raise goes to the position, and the rest plus the remaining tokens become full-range liquidity in a new Project X pool at the curve's final price. Any leftover tokens are burned. Anyone can call graduation, so it never depends on the keeper alone. If someone seeds the coin's 1% pool early at a different price, graduation uses the 0.3% pool instead, so an early pool can't set the price.

Token: plain ERC-20, 18 decimals, fixed supply of 1B. No tax, no owner, no mint function, no transfer restrictions.

Fees

Trades pay a 1% fee in HYPE, on the curve and in the graduated pool, split every time:

50% to the position30% to the creator20% to the platform

Creator fees

The creator's 30% builds up in the contract in HYPE and can be withdrawn at any time.

After graduation

The pool's 1% fee is collected regularly. The HYPE side is split the same way; the coin side is burned.

The backing position

Each coin has its own Hyperliquid account, so two coins on the same market never net against each other. The account's address is published on chain by wick and shown on the coin's page, so anyone can check the live position on Hyperliquid.

How it is funded

The position's share of fees is taken from the contract, sent from HyperEVM to HyperCore, sold for USDC on Hyperliquid's spot book and sent to the coin's Hyperliquid account, all on Hyperliquid's own chain in seconds. It is opened with isolated margin at the coin's leverage.

Markets

Any USDC-margined Hyperliquid market: crypto majors and memes, plus stocks, indices, metals, oil and FX on Hyperliquid's HIP-3 markets. Leverage is capped at each market's own Hyperliquid maximum (up to 50x).

Who runs it

Trust modelThe curve, fees, pool and burns are HyperEVM contracts anyone can verify. The positions are different: each coin's Hyperliquid account is controlled by wick's keeper, which funds, opens, closes and returns profit for it. Every account is public and every buyback is on chain, but you are trusting the keeper to run the positions as described.

Take-profit, buyback and burn

The take-profit is the position's return on its margin, from +5% to +1000% (default +25%). The market move needed is the take-profit divided by the leverage: at 5x, +25% triggers on a 5% move in the coin's direction.

  1. The position is closed in full on Hyperliquid.
  2. The profit (the account's value above the margin that went in) is swapped to HYPE on Hyperliquid and sent back to HyperEVM.
  3. The HYPE buys the coin: on the curve before graduation, on the pool after. Everything bought is burned in the same transaction, and each buyback shows on the coin's page.
  4. The margin stays on Hyperliquid and reopens the position on the same terms.

Risk

Positions can be liquidated.Leverage cuts both ways. If the market moves far enough against the position, Hyperliquid liquidates it and that margin is gone. The coin keeps trading and new fees open a new position. Holders' tokens are never touched by the position.
  • Higher leverage means a smaller move liquidates the position. The Create page shows the liquidation distance before you launch.
  • Fees fund the position, so a coin with little trading has a small position. Hyperliquid's minimum order is $10.
  • wick depends on Hyperliquid, HyperEVM, Project X and the keeper. An outage or bug in any of them affects wick coins.
  • Memecoins are volatile and can go to zero. Nothing here is financial advice.

Launching a coin

  1. Open Create and connect a wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet or any browser wallet). wick switches it to HyperEVM.
  2. Add a logo, name (up to 32 characters) and ticker (up to 8). Description, X and website are optional.
  3. Search for the market, then pick long or short, leverage and take-profit.
  4. Choose a dev buy, if any. It executes in the same transaction as the launch, so nobody can buy before you.
  5. Approve in your wallet. The coin is live as soon as it confirms.

Launching uses about 0.8M gas (well under 0.1 HYPE), plus your dev buy. The pool is created at graduation instead, so launches fit HyperEVM's small blocks. Logos can be PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF; large images are resized automatically. Token metadata and logos are hosted on wick.fun.

FAQ

Can I trade wick coins outside wick.fun?

On the curve, trades go through the WickPad contract. After graduation the coin is a normal token in a Project X pool, so any wallet, aggregator or terminal can trade it.

Where do I see the position?

On each coin's page: margin, size, entry, mark, PnL, liquidation price, take-profit progress, its Hyperliquid account, and every buyback with its transaction.

What happens if the position is liquidated?

That margin is lost. The coin keeps trading and the next fees open a new position on the same market, side and leverage.

Can the creator change the market or leverage later?

No. They are fixed in the contract at launch.

Why HyperEVM?

HyperEVM and Hyperliquid are one chain: a coin's fees reach its perp position in seconds with no bridge, and Hyperliquid has hundreds of markets with deep books, from majors and memes to stocks, gold and oil.
